For the past 20 years, Nestlé has particularly been growing in one specific area: the sector of bottled water. In order to achieve such a success, Nestlé started by acquiring the Perrier business in 1992, which made the company one to the top bottled water producers overnight. Since then, the profits of Nestlé Waters have more than doubled (9 billion Swiss Francs in 2010).
