Re-inforcing GREAT SHARK news!
This has been a pretty stand out few days for ocean, fish and shark news - long may it continue to rescue the near extinct, chronic depletion and mind blowing irresponsibility in the oceans.
The EU has finally voted in favour of strictly protecting ten threatened species of sharks and rays in the Mediterranean Sea, under the Barcelona Convention. Ten species – including hammerheads, tope, and shortfin mako – will now be strictly protected under the Barcelona Convention.
