The Massive
Critically acclaimed writer Brian Wood (DMZ, Northlanders) has launched his latest creator-owned work, ‘The Massive’. The book is set in a world where oceans have reached breaking point, causing irreversible damage to life both on land and under the water. Communities of Whales have been deafened by underwater seismic activity and the ‘rogue’ waves have ravaged cities, shipping lanes and oilrigs leading to economic and societal turmoil.
The series poses the question to its protagonist, Callum Israel, leader of ‘Marine Conservationist Direct Action Force: Ninth Wave’. ‘What does it mean to be an environmentalist after the worlds already ended?’
Lets hope this fictional world doesn’t become a reality.
